Tragedy struck at the Kwadaso Onion Market in Kumasi following the brutal murder of a 24-year-old mobile money vendor known as Junior in his room.
The incident is believed to have occurred on Saturday, March 8, 2025.
Junior, a native of Ejisu Onwe, was well known among his colleagues and friends as a hardworking individual who operated at the Kumasi Race Course.
According to an eyewitness, Junior had returned home that evening with a substantial amount of money—over GH₵200,000. It is suspected that the attackers may have targeted him because of this large sum.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the murder, though no arrests have been made yet.
The shocking incident has left the community in mourning, with Junior’s family and friends grieving the untimely loss of a promising young man.
