Amakyebare Rainstorm Situation Dire, Requires National Attention – Atwima Nwabiagya North MP Appeals to Govt

The Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya North, Mr Frank Yeboah was deeply shaken after assessing the aftermath of a devastating rainstorm that struck his constituency on Tuesday night.

The storm destroyed over 400 buildings, leaving more than 2,000 residents homeless in Amakyebare.

Describing the situation as “terrible,” Mr. Yeboah emphasized the urgent need for national intervention and called on the government to provide immediate relief to affected residents.

He also appealed to well-meaning individuals and organizations to extend support, noting that the upcoming rainy season poses an additional threat to his constituency.

The lawmaker highlighted the disaster’s impact on education in the area. Many schoolchildren have been forced to stay home as the storm ripped off roofs and severely damaged parts of their classrooms.

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Mr. Yeboah urged donors and philanthropists to assist in roofing the affected schools to allow children to resume their education.

“The scale of this disaster requires a more extensive response,” he stressed, reiterating his plea for national attention and swift intervention.
