In a grand and colorful ceremony, Kwabena Frimpong-Manson, popularly known as KFM, has been officially enstooled as the Kontihene of Akokofe, a well-known and indigenous community in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region.
The event, which took place on March 3, 2025, saw the presence of numerous esteemed personalities from the Akokofe community, as well as a strong representation from Oyerepa FM/TV, where KFM serves as a reporter.
With his enthronement, Kwabena Frimpong-Manson has now assumed the revered stool name, Nana Otiawereh Frimpong-Manson II, marking the continuation of a significant traditional lineage.
The event was characterized by deep cultural displays, traditional drumming, and well-organized rituals that showcased the rich heritage of the Akokofe people.
A delegation of approximately 20 Oyerepa FM/TV staff attended the occasion in support of their esteemed colleague, demonstrating their solidarity and admiration for his new role as a traditional leader. Their presence added to the celebratory atmosphere, making the event even more memorable.
During the swearing-in ceremony, the Chief of Akokofe, Nana Osako Adu Panin, offered words of wisdom and guidance to the newly installed Kontihene.
He advised Nana Otiawereh Frimpong-Manson II to be a leader of integrity, urging him to remain truthful and fair in all his dealings. The Akokofehene emphasized that honesty and fairness would not only bring honor to the new Kontihene but also uplift the entire community of Akokofe.
The people of Akokofe, friends, and well-wishers from all over, congratulated the new Kontihene. Many expressed their confidence in his ability to lead with wisdom and bring progress to the community.
