Rev. Justice Boffah Pokumensah, Director of the Institutional Advancement Office at Christian Service University, has strongly criticized public sector workers in the country, accusing them of widespread corruption.
Speaking during a panel discussion on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, Rev. Boffah asserted that civil servants are even more corrupt than politicians.
His remarks were made in response to alleged corruption cases within the National Service Scheme.
He argued that while politicians often receive the bulk of public scrutiny for corruption, it is civil servants who engage in deeply entrenched corrupt practices that enable and sustain systemic fraud within government institutions.
“The real problem is within the public sector. Civil servants manipulate systems, inflate figures, and facilitate corruption far more than we acknowledge. While politicians are in the spotlight, it is the administrators behind the scenes who perpetuate these acts,” Rev. Boffah stated.
He emphasized the need for stricter oversight and accountability mechanisms to address corruption among public servants.
According to Rev. Boffah, the fight against corruption should not be limited to political officeholders but should extend to all levels of public administration.
