The President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, has assured the people of Ghana that the quest to reset Ghana includes a determination to remove barriers to education and healthcare across the country.
He made this known when he assured the people of Asuokow of a swift intervention to ensure that pupils from the community don’t have to dangerously cross a river before they can access education in a neighbouring community.
In a post shared via social media, the president said “Our quest to Reset Ghana includes a determination to remove barriers to education and healthcare across the country”.
Addressing the issue, he indicated that the Member of Parliament for Lower West Akim has been there to ascertain the challenge and the Eastern Regional Minister will also be there after which an intervention will be provided for the people.
“We have identified the community where young school children have to cross this water body to access school.
Earlier today, the MP for Lower West Akim, Owen Kwame Frimpong, visited the Asuokow community and assured them the Eastern Regional Minister will also visit, as we work to permanently and urgently resolve the challenge the people and the school children are confronted with.”
