Hajia Saudatu Sulemana Muntaka, mother of Interior Minister and Member of Parliament for Asawase, Alhaji Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak, has passed away at the age of 83.
She passed on Monday afternoon at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital following a short illness. Her passing coincided with the day her son officially took up his role at the Interior Ministry after being sworn in by President John Dramani Mahama last week.
Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak has often expressed gratitude for his mother’s role in his success, crediting her unwavering support and guidance.
Tributes have been pouring in from constituents, offering condolences and prayers in memory of the late Hajia Saudatu.
The Interior Minister has arrived at the family home in Kumasi to oversee preparations for her burial, scheduled for Tuesday.
