In a bid to curb the destructive activities of land guards in the Ga State, Nii Ayi Kushie Okropong I, the Joma Ablekuma Divisional Chief (Mantse), has established a traditional security task force.
This task force aims to halt the disturbances caused by land guards, which have resulted in the destruction of properties, loss of lives, and the seizure of lands, including those belonging to security personnel.
At a press briefing, Nii Ayi Kushie Okropong I reassured the public that the task force will ensure the security of all properties.
He advised landowners and prospective buyers to acquire genuine documents from the Joma stool Secretariat to prevent disputes.
To address land-related issues, a new office has been created to settle disputes within the Ga-Damgbe community through traditional leaders, reducing the need for court interventions.
Nii Ayi Kushie Okropong I, urged land buyers to follow the proper channels when acquiring land, making it easier for the task force to carry out its duties.
