The family of Martha Tetteh, a 27-year-old mother of three brutally murdered at Sefwi Bekwai in the Western North Region, is seeking justice after a three-year delay in court proceedings.
Martha Tetteh, a resident of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, was beheaded on June 27, 2022, during a business trip to Sefwi Bekwai.
Despite the arrest of suspects, the case has been marred by delays, causing significant frustration and emotional distress for the family.
They have been forced to travel from the Eastern Region to the Agyaben Court in Greater Accra, appealing to the Chief Justice, President John Mahama, and the Inspector-General of Police to expedite the court proceedings.
The family’s spokesperson, Mr. James Kofi Martey, emphasized the devastating impact of the delay on the family.
Mary Tetteh, Martha’s sister, highlighted the immense hardship the family faces in caring for Martha’s three young children, aged 5-11 years.
