Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has denied allegations made by filmmaker Yaw Skyface, claiming that he refused to participate in the “Makoma” music video alongside fellow musician Kofi Mole.
In a social media post, an infuriated Sarkodie urged both the filmmaker and journalists to stop spreading negative rumours about him.
Sarkodie said he was unaware of the music video shoot, and his absence was due to miscommunication.
“Yaa momma me din nda kakra me sr3 mo,” which translates to “Let me have my peace of mind, I’m pleading with you,” he stated.
He added, “I have no idea about this and if it actually happened there was a miscommunication somewhere. Only responding to this cos I got love for my superstar Kofi Mole I don’t play games … I’m in or not.”
What Yaw Skyface said that triggered Sarkodie
Earlier on Hitz FM, Yaw Skyface mentioned that their team scheduled two separate meetings with Sarkodie for a music video but he did not honour them.
“Yeah, we set up two days and he didn’t show up. Kofi Mole was the one in communication with Sarkodie, I think the dates were not working for him. And we can’t also keep waiting… It doesn’t make sense. I don’t know who exactly Kofi was talking to but I think the date was not working for Sarkodie,” he retorted.
