A Ghanaian based in the United States of America, Mrs. Grace Nana Ama Oparah, popularly called Ohemaa Kwartemaa, the Founder of Ohemaa Kwartemaa Foundation, has donated exercise books and mathematical sets worth five thousand Cedis (5000 GH) to all final year girls students in three schools in Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region.
The beneficiary schools are Ampabame No 2 D/A JHS A and B, and Darko M/A JHS.
Presenting the items, Ohemaa Kwartemaa, shared her inspiring journey as an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and professional. Born in a humble village, she emphasized the importance of education in her success story, which has led her to work in the USA. She encouraged female students to prioritize their studies and stay focused on their goals.
She advised them to abstain from early relationships, avoid bad friends that will lead them to immorality.
The Girls’ Prefect for Ampabame No 2 D/A JHS, Miss Akua Agyeiwaa Adubofour, on behalf of all the students, thanked the Ohemaa Kwartemaa Foundation for the support and requested computer assistance to help them learn computing.
The Headmistress of Ampabame No 2 D/A JHS, Madam Patricia Appau, expressed her appreciation to the Ohemaa Kwartemaa Foundation for the kind gesture.
Madam Patricia Appau appealed for sanitary pads for the girls, emphasizing that most of the girls don’t come to school during their menstrual periods due to a lack of sanitary pads to protect them.
