The Coalition of Domestic Election Observers (CODEO) has announced plans deployed 4000 observers across Ghana’s 276 constituencies to monitor the presidential election.
According to Rev. Fred Deegbe, Co-chair of CODEO’s Advisory Board, the observers will be stationed at a representative sample of polling stations in all 16 regions of the country.
At press briefing, Rev. Deegbe said CODEO will be verifying the presidential election results declared by the Electoral Commission (EC) using the Parallel Vote Tabulation (PVT) methodology. This approach is a powerful tool for citizens to monitor the electoral process and ensure the accuracy of official results.
