Ghanaian musician, Eugene Kwame Marfo, known in the music industry as Kuami Eugene, has shared the high expectations that Ghanaians have for him.
The talented ‘Belinda’ crooner recently revealed that his former manager once told him that in the eyes of Ghanaians, Kuami Eugene is incapable of producing a bad song.
During a recent interview, Kuami Eugene expressed his determination to deliver exceptional music due to the pressure he feels consistently.
He explained, “I have had a significant burden on my shoulders ever since my former manager made it clear that I would not have it easy. Ghanaians believe that Kuami Eugene cannot create a subpar song, so I always strive to meet those expectations.”
“That’s why when someone else does a song, and it’s normal, people cheer them on. But they’ll say I didn’t do well when I do the same thing. So, all my songs must be exceptionally strong.
“When you look at all the songs I have done, you can feel that all of them are tough, and so I’m imagining one day I’ll do a song which won’t be tough,” he posited.
