The presidential candidate for the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Christian Kwabena Andrews, popularly known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom, has proclaimed curses on certain categories of people ahead of the December 7 general elections.
According to him, individuals aiming to influence the election results negatively in favour of others using dubious means will not see the light of day, as many will go mad, die, or be struck down with diseases.
Osofo Kyiri Abosom added that he aims to revive the country from the hands of the two main political parties, the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress, arguing that they have nothing new to offer the country.
Addressing a press conference on December 1, 2024, in a video shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) by GHOne TV, he stated, “Seven curses are awaiting wicked Ghanaians on voting day.
“I stand here in the name of God to declare seven curses on these categories of individuals, and anybody who falls victim should receive the punishment ten times, and the ten times will amount to 77,” he said.
He continued to rain the said curses,” Anybody who engages in ballot stuffing, God should destroy the person with thunder. They should be struck down and have an accident.
“Those who engage in multiple voting, that person should die. Whoever votes more than twice, God should kill the person.
“When the counting begins, anybody who exchanges a GUM vote for another should have an accident and die.
“Anybody in the electoral commission who tries to manipulate figures, God should strike that person, and they should rot from the entire body.
“Any party member who joins the EC and engages in manipulation, God should disgrace that person with madness and poverty.”
He added,” Any politician who engages in vote buying should be paralyzed and go blind.
“Any officer, police, or military who beats a journalist and tries to use their office to manipulate the election should be disgraced and drink poison to die.”
