In a bid to improve healthcare delivery in his constituency, outgoing Member of Parliament for Oforikrom Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Emmanuel Kwabena Marfo, has donated vital medical equipment to the Oforikrom Health Centre.
The donation, which took place on Friday, November 29, 2024, is expected to enhance the centre’s capacity to provide quality healthcare services to the community.
Speaking to the media after the donation, Dr. Marfo emphasized the importance of supporting the health centre, citing the challenges it faced in delivering healthcare services.
“It’s always very important to offer support to people to facilitate their health, education, economic and social lives,” he stated.
The donated equipment includes thermometers, examination couches, generators, fridges, scales, tables, chairs, stethoscopes, electronic blood pressure machines, wall cabinets and others.
“I’ve supported the health center with beds for patients and pregnant women.
Also Beds for health workers, tables, chairs, generator machine, fridges and other health equipment for smooth flow of work.” He disclosed.
The Oforikrom Health Centre is a government health facility and is accredited by the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
The centre provides general healthcare services to the community, and the donated equipment is expected to enhance its ability to deliver quality healthcare services to the public.
