Independent Parliamentary Candidate for Asante Akyem North, Ohene Kwame Frimpong, has unveiled his vision for the constituency, focusing on job creation, affordable housing, and agricultural development.
According to Frimpong, his top priority is to provide job opportunities for the youth, thereby reducing the need for them to migrate to urban areas in search of employment.
He also plans to build affordable hostels for teachers, nurses, and doctors, enabling them to live comfortably while working in the constituency.
In addition, Frimpong aims to establish a fertilizer factory, which will enhance farmers’ ability to grow crops and increase employment opportunities in the agricultural sector. This initiative is expected to encourage young people to engage in farming, rather than seeking jobs in urban areas.
Frimpong’s commitment to the constituency is evident in his previous philanthropic efforts, including the construction of the Agogo Central Mosque and the donation of 200 desks to Senior High School. His vision for Asante Akyem North is centered around empowering the youth, supporting farmers, and improving the overall quality of life for constituents.
Frimpong highlighted his philanthropic efforts, noting that he has been supporting the community for years, even borrowing money to help those in need. He encouraged others to follow his example and support the community.
Despite facing challenges, including resistance from local authorities, Frimpong remains committed to his goals.
Frimpong also mentioned that two teachers who supported him were transferred to remote areas, and that the MCE of the constituency criticized him for not completing a market project in Akutuase. Despite these obstacles, Frimpong remains determined to serve the people of Asante Akyem North.
