Flagbearer for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has told his closer contender in the 2024 elections that regardless of the politics of insults he keeps resorting to, he will not win the election in 2024.
He is of the view that the former president, John Dramani Mahama is clearly aware of the impending defeat and that is worrying him.
“He knows of the impending defeat so he is resorting to insults. You can insult us all you want but you know that you will lose the 2024 election,” he said.
The New Patriotic Party is hoping to break the eight-year cycle of political parties in Ghana in the fourth republic.
Under the leadership of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP hopes to make history; something the opposition NDC is fighting against.
