Former President John Dramani Mahama believes the current government has put the welfare of Ghanaians at risk.
He thinks this is especially true for those who have struggled due to the government’s decision to close some banks.
Mahama expressed his concerns on social media, stating that President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Bawumia’s “poor and insensitive decisions” have led to devastating consequences, including destroyed lives, debt, poverty, and devastation.
Mahama emphasized that when a nation gambles with its people’s well-being, the consequences can be far-reaching and damaging.
Should he be elected, he also promised to restore the licenses of banks that had “unjustifiably” collapsed during the banking sector cleanup.
This move aims to promote local participation in the banking and financial sectors, create sustainable employment, and support Indigenous Ghanaian investments.
The power is in our hands—let’s choose a better future.
