A shocking discovery has been made in Offinso Abofour this morning behind Hon. Abdulai Goil Filling Station, where a newly born girl has been found buried in a hole.
Miraculously, despite being buried, the baby was found alive by good Samaritans who alerted the authorities.
According to Madam Osei Akyeiama at Abofour Napo Hospital, who received the baby, said for further treatment, I can confirm the baby was delivered around 2 am. The medical team confirmed that the baby girl is stable and receiving necessary care.
The police have launched an investigation to identify the person responsible for abandoning the baby. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
“This is a heartbreaking and disturbing incident,” said a unit committee member. “We will do everything possible to ensure the perpetrator faces justice.”
The community is in shock, and residents are calling for increased awareness and support for pregnant women and new mothers.
