KJ Spio has teamed up with the talented Ghanaian Afro-soul/Afro-fusion singer Gyakie for their latest single, ‘Days Pass By’.
This beautiful and romantic Afro-soul track showcases Gyakie’s rich and velvety voice, soaring above the melodies to weave a powerful tale of love with emotive lyrics that evoke deep feelings. Produced by BlaiseBeatz, known for his work with artists such as Ruger, BNXN, Adekunle Gold, Ckay, and Davido, the track was created during a session in Ghana between KJ Spio and Gyakie.
When asked about the release, KJ Spio shared, “We wanted to tell a story that resonated with both of us. With this record, it’s a story we both connect with. It’s a relatable tale of a special bond that you want to share with someone so dear to you.”
Continuing his impressive streak of releases, which includes ‘Jealous’ earlier this year and a collaboration with UK singer Loick, Roc Nation U.S singer Ambré, and African rap icon Sarkodie, KJ Spio is proving his keen eye for talent and musical artistry. With a collection of hit singles under his belt, KJ is gearing up for a project release next year and will also be dropping a remix of ‘Days Pass By’ featuring a well-known UK/African collective.
Gyakie has been rising since bursting onto the scene with her debut single ‘Love is Pretty’ in 2019. Since then, she has collaborated with the likes of AKA, Diplo, Blaq Jerzee, Major League DJz, and Mayorkun. Her breakout single ‘Forever’ gained international recognition and has amassed over 150m streams across platforms.
