The community of Adankwame Esaso in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region is voicing their discontent and disillusionment with the government’s neglect of two vital projects in their area.
Residents are particularly disheartened by the incomplete “Ghana-First Toilet Project,” which aimed to provide modern sanitation facilities but has left them without access to basic toilet amenities.
Furthermore, the community is struggling with the poor condition of their roads, which have been abandoned by the government. The roads are reportedly covered in thick dust, posing serious health risks, including respiratory issues, to the residents.
“We are suffering here, and the government doesn’t seem to care,” said one resident. “We don’t have toilets, and our roads are in a terrible state. The dust is killing us, and we can’t even breathe properly.” Some residents spoke to the media.
The community is urging the government to take immediate action to address these pressing concerns and complete the projects that have been left unfinished.
“We are not asking for too much. We just want functional toilets and good roads. Is that too much to ask from our government?” A resident queried.
