Africans Rising, a pan-African movement, is set to host the 2nd edition of the All-African Movement Assembly from August 29th to 31st in Accra, Ghana.
The assembly, which is the largest gathering of activists, human rights defenders, and movements in Africa, aims to bring together 400 participants from across the continent and the diaspora to discuss critical issues affecting Africa.
Key topics on the agenda include, Borderless Africa, Climate justice, Gender justice, Economic justice, Ethical governance, Civic space expansion and Reparations.
The assembly provides a platform for collective action and strategy formulation to address the current crisis moment in Africa.
A highlight of the event is the Activism Awards Ceremony/Gala night, which will honor the 2023 and 2024 winners.
Africans Rising is also launching the Pan-Africa Journalists Network during the assembly to support coverage and reporting on critical issues affecting the continent.
