The Concerned Youth of NPP in the Offinso North constituency in the Ashanti region are calling on President Akufo-Addo to sack the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Albert Sefa Boampong.
According to Mr. Maxwell Asubonteng, leader of the youth, the DCE is sabotaging the party’s Parliamentary Candidate for the constituency, Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah.
“Our recent review has uncovered several serious issues that hinder his effectiveness and obstruct our party’s goals. Specifically, Hon. Albert Sefa Boampong has failed to engage in any campaign activities with Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah, the party’s candidate for the 2024 election, nor has he endorsed or supported him in any capacity. He has been deliberately absent from his official duties this year, creating a leadership void that has significantly impeded the progress of the District Assembly.”
“He has been unresponsive to calls, instead directing callers to text him. Furthermore, on August 2, 2024, he instructed the District Assembly storekeeper to supply agricultural inputs and street lights meant for constituents to the NDC Parliamentary Candidate, in a clear attempt to undermine the NPP Parliamentary Candidate. Video evidence supports this claim,” Mr. Maxwell Asubonteng said.
The youth further called on the party executives to act in order not to lose the parliamentary seat.
We urgently call for the immediate removal of Hon. Albert Sefa Boampong from his role as DCE. His actions and inactions are detrimental to our party’s objectives and threaten our success in the upcoming elections.
