A resident of Abuakwa in the Ashanti Region, identified as Kofi Agyei, has been arrested by the district police command for impregnating his 14-year-old daughter.
The girl together with her mother and stepfather, appeared on Oyerepa Afutuo to falsely accuse an innocent man of being the father of her child.
Meanwhile, the girl’s initial statement accused her stepfather of impregnating her.
The arrest came after a series of events revealed that Agyei was responsible for the pregnancy, contrary to his initial denial.
The Oyerepa Afutuo team assisted in facilitating a DNA test, which conclusively showed that he was not the father.
Subsequent suspicions and rumors suggested that Agyei had been having inappropriate relations with his daughter.
This prompted a second DNA test, which confirmed Agyei as the biological father of the child.
The community was left in shock as the police arrested Agyei in front of a large crowd that had gathered at his home.
