Nana Kwame Bediako, leader of the New Force Movement, recently paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru ll, the Ga Mantse. During the visit, Nana Kwame Bediako presented two sheep as a symbol of peace and unity, aiming to strengthen the bond between the Ga and Ashanti communities.

Emphasizing the significance of unity and peaceful coexistence, Nana Kwame Bediako highlighted how disunity and disturbances can hinder the development of a region or nation. The visit and gift exchange aimed to promote harmony and foster a spirit of cooperation between the two communities.

“Our children are one, our land is one, our homes and even the waters around us are one, so let’s continue to allow peace and unity to reign among us. The country needs hope and unity to move forward and the youth are looking up to leaders to provide direction and guidance,” he said.

Nana Kwame Bediako emphasized that leadership is not solely determined by age, but rather by qualities such as grace, wisdom, glory, knowledge, courage, and connection. He encouraged young people to take on leadership roles, as the future belongs to them.

Nana Kwame Bediako urged the council members and youths to unite and support him in his endeavours, particularly his 2024 presidential bid. King Teiko Tsuru II, the Ga Mantse, also stressed the importance of unity among chiefs in the Ga States, citing his recent meeting with the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, as an example. He appealed to Ghanaians to prioritize peace and avoid being used to harm one another, instead working together to develop the Ga States.

According to him, Ghanaians must recognize the importance of unity and peace in building a strong foundation for the next generation. He praised Nana Kwame Bediako for his efforts in promoting peace and unity, saying “This generation needs hope and that is exactly what you are giving, the hope you have brought to the youths is exemplary”.

King Teiko Tsuru II also used the opportunity to call for peace in the country as the December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections draw closer. He urged all Ghanaians to prioritize peace and unity, stating, “Until we begin to understand that we cannot build alone, we need other mouths, tongues, and the support of other people to be able to make things work”.
