The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the Chiana Paga constituency in the Upper East Region, Hon. Robert Apechira Aloo, on Tuesday, 14th May 2024, handed over four sites for the construction of school projects in the constituency.
At a separate gathering attended by the chiefs, the Assembly Members, and people of the communities involved, Mr. Aloo urged the contractors to deliver the projects timely while ensuring that they are of utmost quality.
The projects include:
1. At Kayoro: A site was handed over to a contractor to build a 6-unit classroom block with an office, store, furniture, 12-seater toilet, mechanized borehole, and solar power supply for Kayoro-Wuru E/A Primary School.
2. At Katiu-Saa: A site was handed over to a contractor to build a 6-unit classroom block with an office, store, furniture, 12-seater toilet, mechanized borehole, and solar power supply for Saa Primary School.
3. At Nakolo Kasili: A site was handed over to a contractor to build a 3-unit classroom JHS block with an office, store, furniture, 12-seater toilet, mechanized borehole, and solar power supply.
4. Lastly at Nyongo: A site was also handed to a contractor to build a 6-unit classroom primary school block with an office, store, furniture, 12-seater toilet, mechanized borehole, and solar power supply.
These projects are expected to significantly improve the quality of education in the Chiana-Paga area, providing students and teachers with better facilities and resources and are expected to be completed within six months.
The District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Gerard Ataogyei charged the contractors to put in their best effort to execute the projects to meet expectations, as they are very dear to the heart of the PC, the government, and the people of the area.
The contractors assured the DCE, PC, and the people of Chiana-Paga of delivering quality work on time.
The projects are GETFUND-funded projects and were lobbied for by the Parliamentary Candidate for the Chiana Paga constituency to help improve the quality of education delivery in the constituency.
The residents of the areas couldn’t hide their excitement for the projects, as they believe these projects are going to make education more exciting for the future of their children.
The chiefs and people of the communities expressed their appreciation for siting the project in their communities. They requested more projects in their areas.
