The Principal of Kumasi Technical Institute (KTI), Mr. Gabriel Osei, has encouraged the youth in the country to overcome fear, laziness, and excuses, emphasizing that excuses are obstacles that can hinder success.
Mr. Osei highlighted the need for Ghanaian youth to embrace a new way of thinking as society becomes increasingly complex. He advised them to avoid negative influences and individuals who may impede their progress. “Stay away from those who discourage you and try to distract you from your goals,” he emphasized.
Furthermore, Mr. Osei stressed the importance of taking education seriously as a means to break the cycle of poverty. He acknowledged that challenges may arise on the path to success, but urged the youth to remain focused and rely on hard work and faith to achieve their goals.
He motivated the youth by reminding them that their current circumstances do not define their future, but rather their dreams, efforts, and aspirations. This message was delivered as the school’s Robotic team presented their trophy, medals, and certificates to the school authorities. Mr. Gyamfi encouraged them to stay focused, work hard, and trust in God, assuring them that success will follow.
In addition, he stressed the significance of building individual capacities through formal education and vocational training. By honing their skills, the youth can unlock their full potential and achieve their aspirations.
Mr. Gyamfi also addressed the common challenges faced by young people, such as engaging in harmful behaviors like fornication, alcoholism, and drug abuse. He urged them to resist peer pressure and instead strive for self-discipline and godliness in all aspects of their lives.
Overall, Mr. Richard Addo Gyamfi’s message serves as a reminder to the youth that with determination, hard work, and a focus on personal growth, they can overcome obstacles and emerge victorious in their endeavors.
