Antony Amakye, a 23-year-old from Fante Nyankomase in the Central Region, recently underwent a successful Gynecomastia Surgery at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
Gynecomastia (sometimes referred to as man boobs) is a common condition that causes boys and men to swell and become larger than normal. It is most common in teenage boys and older men.
Antony had been facing stigma and discrimination due to his condition, which had a detrimental impact on his education.
Despite being of tertiary education age, he found himself still in SHS 3 due to his struggles with Gynecomastia.
After his story was featured on the Help Me Change program on Oyerepa TV, compassionate viewers of the show generously came to Antony’s aid.
“Help Me Change” is a program designed to help the sick, poor, and vulnerable. It’s show on Oyerepa TV every Sunday 7pm.
