President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has assured that the government will make every effort to ensure that the Electoral Commission (EC) can smoothly conduct the 2024 general elections.
He emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring that the elections are free, fair, and transparent.
“Government is doing its part to make the work of the electoral commission smooth,” he said while also asking the commission to work with the political parties to iron out whatever differences there will be.

Ghana has remained unaffected by the extremism seen in neighboring countries due to this strategic planning.

These remarks were made during the State of the Nation address on Tuesday, February 27th, showcasing the government’s commitment to maintaining peace and security in Ghana.
“Our nation is “safe and secure,” he said.
The police, he added, are much better equipped than they have ever been, he added.
Citing the extremism occurring in other parts of West Africa, he said “we can no longer take the territorial integrity of the country for granted.”
