Chief Inspector Moses Dadzie of the Kumasi Central Police Station has been enstooled as the Omankrado of Gomoa Akramang in the Central Region.
After dedicating over two decades to the police force, he will now be known as Nana Yaw Ninson Mantaka VI.
His coronation attracted numerous policemen from Kumasi and other parts of the country, who came to show their support for the newly crowned chief. Dignitaries from various walks of life also graced the colourful occasion.
During his coronation on Friday, February 2, 2024, at the durbar grounds of Gomoa Akramang, Nana Yaw Ninson Mantaka expressed his unwavering support for the community’s pursuit of greatness.
He also advised the youth to respect and follow the guidance of their elders to achieve prosperity in life.
However, the Chief of Gomoa Akramang, Nana Kwame Appiah Ababio IV, voiced his concerns about the encroachment of the community’s lands by estate developers in the name of development.
He appealed to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to intervene and prevent this from happening.
