Kumawood actress, Borga Silvia, has once again made headlines, but this time it’s not for mourning the loss of her elder sister who passed on exactly year ago.
Instead, an Australian man of about 60 years, named Thomas Adjei, also known as Okyeame is claiming that actress Borga Silvia and her mother, Tina Adu, have defrauded him of AU$25,000.
Okyeame shared his story on the Oyerepa Afutuo show, hosted by Auntie Naa, on Friday, February 2nd, 2024.
He explained that he first met Borga Silvia in Australia 20 years ago when his documents had expired and he needed to renew his stay. Desperate for a solution, Okyeame reached out to Borga Silvia for assistance via marriage.
Borga Silvia’s mother, Tina Adu, requested a payment of AU$10,000, which Okyeame promptly paid. In addition, he spent AU$15,000 on preparations for their wedding ceremony, which was supposed to take place in Ghana. However, just before the wedding ceremony, Borga Silvia abruptly called off the marriage.
He said, he has been trying to retrieve his money for the past 20 years, but all his attempts have been in vain.
Frustrated and seeking justice, he is demanding not only the return of his money but also 200% interest per annum. To emphasize his seriousness, Okyeame has given Borga Silvia a one-week ultimatum to repay him.
“I’m giving you a one-week ultimatum to return my money else I’ll show you where the power lies,” Okyeame said.
