A 22-year-old Bright Lacey and his fiancée Linda Asare have been apprehended by the Awutu Bereku District Police Command for allegedly killing their three-weeks-old baby boy for money ritual at Fetteh Kakraba in the Gomoa East District in the Central Region of Ghana.
Information gathered by Oyerepa News indicates that the suspect and his girlfriend are residents of the aforementioned vicinity but live in separate houses.
According to reports, on Monday, January 22, 2024, at around 11:00 pm, the suspect went to the girlfriend’s house to pay her and the baby a visit, not knowing he had an ulterior motive, thereby, outwitting the fiancée to steal the baby boy who was discovered death with a severe cut on his neck, few minutes to his missing after the father had visited.
The lady cried out searched for them and the community got involved and later saw the little child beheaded and dumped somewhere in the bush.
The culprits are in police custody pending investigations.
