The Ash-town Royals, a distinguished social club, demonstrated their commitment to humanitarian service by presenting approximately 20 wheelchairs, valued at GH₵25,000, to the Accident, Emergency Unit of the Manhyia Government Hospital in Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti Region.
Comprised of business and professional leaders, the Ash-town Royals Club, whose funding members reside abroad, aims to foster goodwill and peace in Ghana and Africa as a whole.
Dr. Daniel Nti Mensah Asare, Chairman of Ash-town Royals, in an interview with Oyerepa News expressed that the club recognized the pressing need for wheelchairs at the Manhyia Hospital to enhance patient mobility.
“We procured these chairs from overseas because we observed that many patients at Manhyia Hospital lack access to wheelchairs, therefore, we deemed it essential to donate these wheelchairs to the health facility to facilitate their operations.” Dr Nti disclosed.
He added that, the Royals are committed to work hard in order to extend a helping hands to the needy.
“As a charitable organization, we have already made significant contributions, and we will continue our efforts without relenting. Our dedication lies in assisting individuals who require support,” he declared.
Dr. Kamarudeen Korku Hussein, Medical Superintendent of Manhyia Hospital who received the Wheelchairs expressed much appreciation to Ash-town Royals for the donation.
He said, “I just want to say a big thank you to Ash-town Royals for donating these wheelchairs to us. These are things that we really need… We are going take good care of the wheelchairs. This little donation they have done will go a long way in improving healthcare delivery in Manhyia and it’s environs.”
