Francis Adomako, the Ashanti Regional Organiser of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has generously donated some items to the New Edubiase Government Hospital and the Obunso CHPS Compound in the Adansi South District.
The donated items consisted of essential supplies such as soaps, tissues, 100 packs of satchel water, 20 packs of bottled water, and other miscellaneous items. Additionally, Mr. Adomako contributed GHC200 to support the institutions.
In an interview with Oyerepa News, the NPP regional organizer expressed the significance of his donation to the Orphan constituency.
“I do this every year when it is my birthday. This year, I decided to move outside Kumasi. I considered the Orphan constituency, Adansi South. I came to the New Edubiase Government Hospital and the Obonsu CHPS Compound to give these items as part of my birthday celebration and also find out their challenges as an institution.”
Doctor Robert Mensah, the Health Director of Adansi South, graciously accepted the donated items on behalf of the hospital and extended his heartfelt appreciation to the NPP Regional Organizer. Furthermore, he humbly requested additional support to further enhance the hospital’s capabilities.
“We thank Mr. Francis Adomako for his generosity. So this item will help the staff and the patients as well. Because there is no provision shop here, it is sometimes difficult to get some of these items.” He said.
“We are appealing to the government and other stakeholders for support. We need medical equipment, like an x-ray machine and an additional ambulance.” Doctor Mensah added.
Mr. Adomako, in his capacity as the regional organizer, provided the hospital with a firm assurance of the government’s unwavering support.
