Tamale-based musician, Fancy Gadam, also known as Mujahid Ahmed Bello, recently shared his thoughts on the possibility of having the next president of Ghana hail from the Northern region.
This discussion arises following the selection of Vice President Dr Bawumia as the flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), while the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has chosen former president John Mahama.
During an interview on Property FM in Cape Coast, Fancy Gadam expressed his belief that, since both candidates originate from the North, they deserve equal support from the people.
“It feels good to have the next president coming from the North but it is almighty Allah that does whatever He wants.
“No man can question God so the only thing we have to do is wish everybody well being a candidate for NPP or NDC.
“As far as President Mahama and Dr. Bawumia are all coming from the North we are going to support both of them,” He remarked.
