A multitude of protesters gathered at Obra Spot in Accra on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, to participate in the #OccupyBoG demonstration organized by the NDC minority group in Parliament, the pressure group Arise Ghana, and various other organizations.
The primary objective of this demonstration is to demand the immediate resignation of the governor of the Bank of Ghana, along with his deputies.
They also accuse him of overseeing reckless expenditure, including the construction of the new $250 million Bank of Ghana headquarters.
The opposition party, in a statement after the demonstration, expressed its gratitude to hundreds of protestors who participated in the #OccupyBoG demonstration.
