Dr. Kingsley Agyemang, the Registrar of the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat, has generously donated GH20,000 to assist a woman who has been diagnosed with a tumor.
The recipient, Anita Awuah, shared her story on the impactful radio and TV program, Oyerepa Afutuo, on August 16, 2023. She revealed that her quality of life had significantly deteriorated following her lumpectomy surgery.
During her appearance on the award-winning show, Anita recounted how doctors discovered her breast tumor during a routine medical check-up. Eventually, the affected area was successfully removed through lumpectomy surgery.
However, the immense challenges she faced in providing for her two children, Kobii no.1 and Kobii no.2, after the operation have been severe and therefore needed support from all stakeholders.
Driven by Anita’s heartbreaking situation, Dr. Kingsley Agyemang pledged his support by offering financial assistance to help her establish a business.
True to his word, the Registrar of the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat has donated GHc20,000 to Anita. This generous sum is intended to help her open a supermarket, enabling her to provide for her children’s needs.
Furthermore, Dr. Agyemang has committed to covering all expenses related to Anita’s hospital check-ups, including thermotherapy treatments. This comprehensive support aims to alleviate the financial burden on Anita and ensure she receives the necessary medical care.
Dr. Kingsley Agyemang’s compassionate gesture demonstrates his commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need. His donation will not only empower Anita to regain her financial independence but also provide hope for a brighter future for her and her children.
