Presidential aspirant Kwabena Agyei Agyapong has stated that politics has now taken over the minds of our politicians rather than the development of Ghana.
Speaking on the Oyerepa Breakfast Show with Nana Yaw Mensah Joel, the NPP flagbearer aspirant said that politics has now taken bad shape in our democracy today in Ghana.
Explaining that many politicians have now resorted to seeking their party’s interests rather than the development of the country.
“It’s true that government is born out of a party, which is why there is a need to always be careful because whatever you do also affects the party,” he stated.
“That’s why things are hard now in our country, and it is incumbent on us to turn around the economy. We should learn to live within our means, and let’s stop prioritizing our selfish gains,” he added.
However, he urged Ghanaians and delegates to have faith in him, as he is poised to turn things around for Ghana.
“I want to remain a blot on the conscience of Ghanaians,” he noted.
