President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has named Freda Prempeh, the Minister of State at the Presidency and Member of Parliament for Tano North, as the new Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources.
This appointment comes after Cecilia Abena Dapaah tendered her resignation on July 22, 2023, which was promptly accepted by the President.
The nomination of Hon. Freda Prempeh as the new Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources will take effect immediately, marking a significant change in leadership within the ministry.
Furthermore, President Akufo-Addo has made additional ministerial appointments. Mavis Nkansah Boadu, the Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways and Member of Parliament for Afigya Sekyere East, has been chosen as the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.
Simultaneously, Thomas Mbomba, the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration and Member of Parliament for Tatale/Sanguli, will assume the role of Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways.
