Police Inspector Ahmed Twumasi, aka ‘Tycoon’ alleged to have shot and killed 26-year-old Victoria Dapaa, popularly known as Maadwoa at Adum in Kumasi will be arraigned before the today.
Tycoon shot his alleged girlfriend, Maadwoa 5 times, on Thursday night (April 20, 2023) at Adum-Kumasi, in the Ashanti region.
According to o eyewitness account and an audio recording on social media, the police inspector killed Maadwoa out of jealousy.
The suspect, who has been on the run since the incident, was arrested on Sunday at Sekyere, near Effiduase in the Ashanti Region as a result of a special Police operation, which was launched following the shooting incident.
The suspect will be put before the Asokore Mampong District court today, Tuesday, April 25 to face justice.
Meanwhile, the mother of the suspect Maame Nyarko has called for justice for her demised daughter.
“When I heard that, the killer was arrested, I became okay……I thank the police for their good work…. I’m pleading on them for justice for my daughter.” Maame Nyarko told Radio One in Kumasi an interview monitored by Oyerepa Online.
