Twenty-Two persons have been confirmed dead in a gory accident that occurred between Kintampo and Babatokuma.
21 died on the spot and the other 1 at the hospital.
The casualties include 4 women, 1 child, 17 men.
The Yendi-Kumasi bound bus, AS 4635-22, with 52 passengers onboard, crashed by side with a trailer truck GW 1127 P, carrying tiles.
Even though it is unclear what really happened, it seems the truck driver tried to swerve a stationary truck and the process entered the other lane which resulted in the near collision with the bus.
The dead are now deposited at the Kintampo Government Hospital morgue whilst the surviving victims are receiving treatment at the Kintampo Hospital.
