Methodist Church Bishop, Most Reverend Stephen Richard Bosomtwe Ayensu has disclosed that Ghana is not a Christian country as some presume it to be.
According to the Methodist Bishop, the activities of some men of God who have been given some leadership positions in government are not really working as expected of them bringing shame and disgrace to God and the Christian community in Ghana.
In the latest revelation about this project, North Tongu MP, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa alleged that Rev Victor Kusi Boateng possesses two different names on different passports and further alleges that a company believed to be owned by Rev Kusi Boateng has taken to themselves GH 2.6 million cedis which are from the funds of the project.
Speaking on Oyerepa Breakfast Show, Monday, in relation with to the National Cathedral Project which has resulted in a lot of agitations among most men of God in the country, Rev Ayensu opined that some pastors are fighting themselves all in the name of politics which is a shame on the Christian community in Ghana.
“I think we should look for some other name to describe Ghana instead of a Christian country, “he said.
Meanwhile, he advised that men of God should be cautious about things they do when given any opportunity to serve the country, adding that if these bad behaviours continue, Ghana will have no future.
“Ghana has no basis to stand if such things should continue in this country” he added.
