Fred Agbenyo, Director of International Relations for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has said that insults rained on opponents during campaigns are inevitable.
Speaking to Kwesi Parker Wilson on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, he said that “there has never been a campaign where candidates do not offend each other.”
He said the political party is a human institution and therefore cannot be devoid of offense, but urged them not to spew words that would make reconciliation after elections difficult.
Fred Agbenyo said after the election, they are still a political party, and there’s a need for unity to reign for them to work towards their set goal, which is to win the 2024 general elections.
He further revealed that members of the party in the diaspora would come to Ghana for the delegates conference slated for Saturday.
According to 15 members from every chapter in the diaspora are expected to be at the congress.
