A security analyst, Adib Saani, has frankly stated that it would be very difficult to deal with vigilante groups in the country.
Speaking to Kwesi Parker Wilson on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, the security analyst mentioned that there have been various attempts by the National Peace Council to deal with the issue of vigilantism, yet it still exists.
“It is completely impossible to deal with vigilante groups without political party commitment,” he said.
He said that without the commitment of political parties, it would be impossible to eradicate vigilante groups and the danger they pose to security.
Saani also added that the vigilante bill only exists on paper, satisfying formalities, yet vigilante groups still hold.
