A driver’s mate died instantly while two other persons are in critical condition after a Kia Rhino truck crashed with a tipper truck at Gomoa Dominase Junction in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
The accident occurred on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 around 4:30 PM.
Some eyewitnesses who spoke with Kasapa News explained that the Kia Rhino loaded with chicken feces was coming from Gomoa Dominase township to join the Kasoa – Cape Coast Highway and upon reaching the junction, the engine ceased.
After the driver fixed the problem, he failed to observe the highway and then joined the road resulting in the Kia Rhino colliding with the Tipper truck killing the mate instantly while two others are in critical condition.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Winneba Special and Trauma Hospital morgue and the critically injured persons receiving treatment at the same facility.
Police at Gomoa Dominase have commenced an investigation into the accident.
