Ebenezer Amoquandoh, a mobile money vendor, is being treated for bullet wounds sustained during a robbery invasion.
Ebenezer was fired when two armed men attacked his shop in Gomoa Akotsi, Gomoa East District, Central Region, and stole his money.
The victim said that the incident happened around 9:00 p.m., as he was locking his shop.
He went on to say that the masked gunmen, who were riding motorcycles, fired warning shots and demanded that he surrender his valuables.
Due to his refusal, he was shot in the left thigh with a pump action gun.
Another robber barraged him with sharp objects before stealing his bag, which contained GHS 30,000.
Ebenezer was airlifted to Winneba Trauma Hospital, where he is currently being treated.
Meanwhile, investigations have begun at the Gomoa Ojobi District Police Command.
