Aaron Kumah, a senior lecturer at Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), has urged Ghanaian citizens to stop milking money from politicians for their personal gains when they come to them in their homes.
The senior lecturer, speaking to Akua Asieduwaa on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, explained that some people have made it a habit to take money from politicians during campaign seasons and even during regular visits to people in their line of duty.
He referred to instances where some public officials lost their seats as a result of not fulfilling the selfish desires of the people by giving out money to them. This, he says, is not the best and influences the voting power of the people.
The lecturer also explained that putting an end to this act could provide an opportunity to investigate the source of politicians’ sudden wealth when they come into power.
