The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana Enterprises Agency, Mrs. Kosi Yankey Ayeh, has urged all Ghanaian youth to take advantage of the YouStart intervention scheme to assist them in establishing their own businesses because the initiative’s motivation is the youth.
The YouStart program is an initiative introduced by the Akufo-Addo-led government under the auspices of the Ghana Enterprises Agency to give support to the Ghanaian youth in the form of grants, loans, and other forms to set up businesses and help them thrive as well. The intervention is targeted at the youth of the country.
Speaking in an interview with Kwesi Parker Wilson on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, Mrs. Kosi stated that the eligible age group to apply is 18–40 years.
“The YouStart program is for the Ghanaian youth; it doesn’t matter your political affiliation or whether you are a NABCO beneficiary or not; falling within this age bracket makes you eligible,” she said.
Mrs. Ayeh further explained that the YouStart initiative is willing to assist any type of business or individual with any type of skill, hard or soft. The support will come in the form of grants or loans, mentorship programs, and entrepreneurial training programs to help your business thrive once it is set up.
She therefore urges every Ghanaian who falls within the age bracket to take advantage of the initiative to start their businesses.
