An Investigative Officer of the Ghana Immigration Service, Superintendent David Essien has told the High Court in Accra that galamsey kingpin Aisha Huang forged a marriage certificate to obtain an indefinite residence permit.
According to Supt. Essien, an investigation conducted in 2016 to ascertain her immigration status also revealed that Aisha Huang forged a Ghana Passport in support of her application for her indefinite residency permit.
The galamsey kingpin has pleaded not guilty to four charges including re-entering Ghana without the permission of the Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service.
Supt. Essien, who is the second prosecution witness in the case in which Aisha Huang is standing trial made this known to the High Court presided over by Justice Lydia Osei Marfo during cross-examination by Captain (Rtd) Nkrabea Effah Dartey.
