The General Secretary for New Patriotic Party (NPP) Lawyer Justin Kodua has assured an increment of salaries for all Zoomlion Ghana workers.
Zoomlion Ghana Limited, a division of the Jospong Group, pays GH180 as wages to all workers of the company.
Earlier this year, Zoomlion employees in the Ashanti Region threatened to stop going to work because Zoomlion Ghana Limited has not paid them salaries for the past nine months.
Reacting to the issue, the Party’s General Secretary in an exclusive interview on Oyerepa Breakfast show disclosed that there is a current negotiation with some stakeholders to have a new contract signed.
He, however, assured all workers of Zoomlion Ghana Limited to keep calm as negotiations are ongoing in making sure their salaries are increased.
“There are new negotiations ongoing with different companies and I can assure you that there is going to be an increment soon,” he stated.
