Susana, a resident of Accra, is battling for her life after her husband, Kwaku Richmond, a military officer, allegedly beat her.
Narrating her story on Oyerepa Afutuo, Susana disclosed that her husband had been assaulting her.
“I lived peacefully with my husband. We love each other. But it got to a time certain ladies began calling me, claiming Richmond was their boyfriend, and when I asked him, he told me I was his princess. One of his girlfriends threatened to kill me.” She said.
Richmond started behaving strangely towards me. One day, he asked my son to go and buy him a black cat. My son did not get it, so he beat him.”
Susana further revealed that the husband directed him to cut his fingernails not knowing he needed the nails for rituals.
“Richmond directed me to cut my fingernails, so I did. My daughter threw the nails away and Richmond beat her for not giving him my fingernails. He threatened to bully me for failing to provide him with my fingernails. He gave me the option to go and defecate in the forest and catch the house fly for him. ”
Susan, who appeared on the show wearing a POP around her neck, lamented that her husband has threatened to divorce her.
She disclosed that, Kwaku Richmond, has brutally assaulted her 22 times.
“The beating got worse when I asked him about money he (Richmond) took from a friend with the aim of helping him get into the military. Richmond hit my shoulder with a heavy blow, and I collapsed. He did not take me to the hospital. My neck has been seriously affected as a result. Richmond has refused to give me money for treatment.” Susan sadly told Aunte Naa, the host of the show.
